Focus on Communities Annual Poster Contest
Focus on Community is reintroducing their annual poster contest. It has been over 10 years since our last annual poster contest so we decided now is the time to bring it back. We are kicking off our poster contest in April during Alcohol Awareness Month, so this year’s theme is alcohol awareness.
The contest is open to all Racine County residents 4 years of age and older. There are five age categories and contestants will be placed in the categories that correlate with their age at time of poster submission.
The age categories are as follows:
All contestants will be judged based on a point system. In the event of a tie winners will be chosen at the sole discretion of Focus on Community staff and its selected judges.
The competition will be judged on the following criteria (40 points maximum):
All required elements within the entry form must be completed to be eligible for a prize. All entries must be submitted through the online entry form or dropped off at a designated community location if electronic entry is not possible. Only entries received during the posted time periods are eligible for prizes. Contestants may submit up to 3 entries, but each submission requires a separate entry form.
Your Work Must Be Original:
You must be the creator of the artwork entered into the competition. Any adaptation of someone else’s work must fall under appropriate fair use copyright law. Your work must not violate anyone else’s copyright and all violations will be disqualified.
There is no cost to enter.
There will be five 1st place cash prizes of $50 and five 2nd place cash prizes of $25 in each age category. There will be one overall winner chosen from all entries for a cash prize of $100.
You retain all copyrights to your artwork, without exception. Focus on Community has the right to alter the final poster design. Your entry into any contest allows a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce your artwork in our social media, on our website, and in print form. Modifications may be made to the work for size adjustment or additional wording as needed. All submissions become the property of the Focus on Community and may be used for commercial purposes. No entries will be returned.
All submissions should be sent to: Sheila at email@example.com
All entries must contain the entry form and be submitted in a jpg format with a resolution of 300 dpi.
