The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) at Focus on Community provides wraparound and case management services to students and families in the Racine Unified School District who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Through empathetic and strengths-based support, program staff help families navigate complex systems, connect with housing, healthcare, educational, and financial resources, and develop individualized success plans that promote long-term stability. In partnership with the Families in Transition Program from RUSD and other community organizations, FAP reduces barriers to education, prevents generational homelessness, and empowers families to achieve self-sufficiency.
