Our Efforts Around Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion
Statement on Racial Equity, Justice, & Unifying the Community:
We explicitly condemn the actions of violence, aggression, and injustice displayed against the Black community and people of color. As a community focused agency, we are committed to seeking peaceful solutions that bring people together, educate, and inspire healthy life choices. We believe that Black Lives Matter and feel that our community will only succeed if all our citizens are given the opportunity to thrive.
We offer our sincere condolences to those that have lost loved ones in this fight against racism. We stand with those that are hurting and will work with our community to find peaceful solutions to social injustice.
As a prevention agency, our focus will be on building a better future for our youth through education and skill development. We will continue our important work to engage families and work with those most at risk to find the important resources they need. We pledge to continue to educate our staff, volunteers and advocates on racial inequality and closing the gap. We look forward to playing an active role in helping our community heal and to untie the community in an effort to prevent substance abuse and inspire healthy life choices.
