October 3rd, 1980- The Racine Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs is formed. |
Spring 1992- Racine Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs launched the Teen Peer Program making it the longest program running to date. |
Spring 2002- Racine Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs officially formed RCYC (Racine County Youth Coalition) |
Spring 2005- The Racine Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs changed its name to Focus on Community.

June 2013- Focus on Community was awarded the longest running FAST program recognition in the nation.

March 2015- Focus on Community is awarded the Prevention and Education award for our Teen Peer Program from NCADD (National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence).

February 2016- Focus on Community gave a presentation at the national level in Washington D.C. on “Building an Effective Coalition”.

September 2016- Focus on Community received funds from the United Way of Racine County to take over the Advancing Family Assets (AFA) Program officially.

September 2019- Focus on Community purchased a building in uptown Racine to call home.

January 14, 2021- Focus on Community's Executive Director Jason Meekma visits with The Morning Show with Greg Berg on WGTD. January 23, 2021- Focus on Community participates in Racine and Me on CBS. |
