Due to a conflicting event that will overtake all of the Christopher Columbus Cause way and Pershing Drive, we have been forced to move our 5K event to a new location. This change provides us the opportunity to host the event at our new offices and to unveil a new and exciting 5K course. See the new course below.
Annual Race Against Substance Abuse
It's the 2017 Race Against Substance Abuse and the theme is TEAMING UP AGAINST SUBSTANCE ABUSE. That's right teams are where it is at. It gets even better. Sign up with a team of four or more and it is absolutely FREE to participate. Want more fun, create a team mascot to compete in the team mascot race for awards and prizes. Bring the family for this fun event.

What Time: Registration opens at 4:00 p.m.
Mascot Race at 5:30
Race begins at 6:00 p.m.
Who: Focus is a local Non-Profit organization that works to educate the community on the dangers of substance abuse. Focus reaches out through a wide variety of youth and family oriented programs that teach skill building and asset development. We work with local schools and organizations to help give children and families a brighter, safer and healthier future.

A fun family friendly 5k run/walk evening event in support of youth leadership and substance abuse prevention in Racine and Racine County.
This event will feature a beautiful twilight 5k race entirely along the waters of he Root River. The 5k event will end along an illuminated finishing stretch and will be followed by awards and festivities. In addition a kids fun zone, food, beverages and activities will be available before and after the race.
Focus on Community is Racine's only Substance Abuse Prevention Agency. Our mission is to prevent substance use and abuse by youth and adults through educating and empowering our community. One of our most successful programs is the Teen Peer Educators, a group of teens from nearly every local High School dedicated to working in the community to act as mentors and role models for children through teenagers. ALL proceeds will go to help fund Teen Leadership programming in Racine and Racine County.
