Focus employs a staff of Teen Peer Educators, high school students who are committed to living a drug free lifestyle. In order to become a Teen Peer you must first volunteer at one of Focus' programs. A major way of recruitment for the teens is through Teen Institute. The Teen Peer Coordinator and Focus staff train these young people in the arena of AODA education as well as facilitation techniques for encouraging a youth culture to value healthy lifestyles. The Teen Peers work in all of Focus' youth serving programs. Teen Peers are positive role models at their respective schools and in the community. Funded by the SC Johnson Fund, and other grants.
