Description: A fun family friendly 5k run/walk evening event in support of youth leadership and substance abuse prevention in Racine and Racine County.
This event will feature a beautiful twilight 5k race entirely along the waters of Lake Michigan and the Root River. The 5k event will end along a illuminated finishing stretch and will be followed by a kids fun run, awards and a paper lantern tribute ceremony.

What for:
Focus on Community is Racine's only Substance Abuse Prevention Agency. Our mission is to prevent substance use and abuse by youth and adults through educating and empowering our community. One of our most successful programs is the Teen Peer Educators, a group of teens from nearly every local High School dedicated to working in the community to act as mentors and role models for children through teenagers. ALL proceeds will go to help fund Teen Leadership programming in Racine and Racine County.
Awards:
Top three Male and Female finishers (excluded from age group awards)
Top three in age divisions (21 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over)
Restrictions:
No alcoholic beverages allowed. No unsportsmanlike conduct or foul language. Please keep in mind this is a Family Friendly Event!
